Section 65
Election Publicity Expenses
: (1) The amount of money that the candidate can spend in the election shall be as specified by the Commission by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette.
(2) The candidate or his election representative shall keep the details of all expenses incurred during the election in the prescribed format in the prescribed manner. Explanation: For the purpose of this sub-section, "period of election" means the period from the date of registration of the nomination paper of the candidate to the date of declaration of the result of such election.
(3) The total expenses incurred by a candidate in an election should not exceed the amount of expenses specified under subsection (1).
(4) Details of election expenses as per sub-section (2) shall be submitted by the candidate or his representative to the office designated by the Commission within thirty days from the date of announcement of election results. The details of expenses received in this way should be sent to the commission by the relevant office.
(5) According to this section, candidates who do not provide details of election campaign expenses within the specified time, the commission will fine according to the prevailing federal law related to the election commission.
